CH-WT Training

Slip-Test now offers a unique certificate course in the complex topic of walkway tribometry. Successful attendees are considered a "Certificate Holder in Walkway Tribometry", a three-year credential. The two-day training course is compliant with ASTM E2659 Standard Practice for Certificate Programs.

The course provides a comprehensive overview of walkway tribometry as currently practiced in the United States, including its technical foundations, evolution over time, and levels of adoption by codes and industries. The certificate coursework does not focus on the use of a particular tribometer, nor on the formation of tribometry expert opinions in a forensic setting. Successful completion of this course, in and of itself, does not qualify an individual as an expert; the course provides a foundation for expertise in the science of walkway tribometry when coupled with the certificate holder’s education, training and experience.
